I’m Jennifer and while I live in Kaysville and was born in San Diego, I’m a friendly family photographer serving the Greater Salt Lake area.
I’ve experienced a lot of things in my life, from pumping water by hand to growing a garden to law school and an accounting degree. However, I have always been happiest surrounded by art work. My grandparents were award winning photographers in the 1940s and 50s and so I grew up with cameras always around at every family event. I happily spent hours and days at the San Diego Museum of Art in the summer and loved the free concert series at the San Diego Safari Park (it was the Wild Animal Park back then).
Art in all forms can be life changing and for me, it has made my life so much better to be able to share this with my family, friends and clients. I love taking family photos and even more than that, I love taking family photos that have an artistic bent.
My current favorite specialty photo shoot for a client was a mommy-daughter shoot where both were dressed up in gowns similar to Elsa from Frozen (the Disney movie). I moved them from a park in the middle of the city to walking on breaking ice and it was so much fun to do and to see their reactions to the end results.
My other current favorite is one of my favorite client families because they are just so darling and so much fun! Their kids blew dandelions at me during the photos and laughed so hard. It was wonderful to be able to capture kids just being kids. And that created some amazing artwork for their walls and for their family to enjoy.
This is why I raise my camera everywhere I go. So my clients can have artwork which features them in their homes and offices and to share with their families.
